Frequently Asked Questions
General Information
Do Indians need a visa for Kyrgyzstan?
Yes, Indian citizens must have a valid visa to enter Kyrgyzstan. They can easily apply for an e-visa online, which is issued for tourism, including visiting friends and receiving medical services, without engaging in paid or profit-making work.
Note: Indian citizens holding a long-term multiple-entry visa from the USA, Great Britain and the Schengen Zone are allowed to enter and stay in the Kyrgyz Republic without a visa for up to 7 days.
To apply for a Kyrgyzstan e-visa, Indians need an invitation letter from an authorised inviting authority. When you apply with Atlys, we arrange it free of charge.
What is the difference between the validity period of my Kyrgyzstan visa and the stay period?
The validity period of your visa refers to the timeframe within which you can enter the country. The stay period refers to the maximum number of days you are allowed to stay in Kyrgyzstan once you enter.
Suppose your visa is valid from August 1 to September 29 and allows a 30-day stay. This means that you can enter Kyrgyzstan anytime between August 1 and September 29 and stay for 30 days upon entering. Interestingly, let's say you enter on September 25; even then, you can stay for 30 days in the country.
I have a US or Schengen visa. Can I enter Kyrgyzstan visa-free?
Yes, Indian citizens holding a long-term multiple-entry visa from the USA, Great Britain and the Schengen Zone will be allowed to enter and stay in the Kyrgyz Republic visa-free for up to 7 days.
Additionally, they can also re-enter for another 7 days after 21 days from the date of departure of their previous visit from Kyrgyzstan.
Can Indians get a Kyrgyzstan visa on arrival?
No, Indian citizens cannot get a Kyrgyzstan visa on arrival. They must obtain a visa before travelling.
